Summary
Commute Crash is a ragdoll sandbox game developed for the Brains Eden Game Jam 2018 in a group of 5. You're late for work and so must find as many "excuses" as possible for your lateness; those being injuring yourself on as many objects in the city as possible, similarly to the Insurance Fruad mode in the Saints' Row series. This was the second game jam we had worked on and one of the first games I worked on in Unity. The theme of the game was "Unreliable" and we felt that an unreliable worker was a perfect protagonist for the player to take control of so we made our relative inexperience in development part of the joke. The player model resultingly gets increasingly distorted as they get more injured.
